22/05/2003

Charles Stanley and Company Limited is the latest big City name to subscribe to ktsQuoteTerminal, the live UK financial news and data product from Knowledge Technology Solutions PLC (KTS). Charles Stanley, one of the largest private client stockbrokers in the UK, has bought ktsQuoteTerminal licences for its London and provincial offices.

Since the beginning of the year KTS has been signing up a steady stream of well-known financial institutions. Charles Stanley is the sixth City firm that KTS has announced is subscribing to ktsQuoteTerminal in the past five months. Morley Fund Management, Prudential-Bache Limited, Royal London Asset Management, Williams de Broe and Singer and Friedlander are the other major ktsQuoteTerminal subscribers already taking the service since January.

ktsQuoteTerminal is used by finance professionals in the UK and offers premium news, data and analysis sourced from well-known providers such as Comstock, a division of FT Interactive, Dow Jones Newswires, RNS and AFX News.

Dr Marc Pinter-Krainer, Chief Executive of KTS, said:

'Technology and cost advantages are the two main driving forces behind innovative market data applications such as ktsQuoteTerminal. Against its competition, ktsQuoteTerminal has taken a leadership position in providing maximum benefit in both these areas. We're delighted to welcome Charles Stanley as a new ktsQuoteTerminal customer.'

Mike Pitts, IT Director of Charles Stanley, commented:

'We wanted a live financial data and news system that was fully professional yet easy to use. We also wanted one we could install across the firm with the minimum of fuss. ktsQuoteTerminal fitted the bill perfectly as it requires no on-site installation, provides reliable data and news and is secure.'

Iain Daly, Smaller Companies Analyst at Charles Stanley, said:

'I have been impressed by the flexibility of the ktsQuoteTerminal product, particularly the ability to access full market data.'
