Sky Capital UK selects ktsQuoteTerminal
20/01/2004
City-based broker Sky Capital UK Ltd's private client division has signed up with Knowledge Technology Solutions PLC (KTS) for its ktsQuoteTerminal service, the UK live financial news and data product which requires no installation of networks or computer applications on the client's computers. This latest new business win takes KTS's retained corporate client base to over 75 companies.
Sky Capital UK trialled a number of market data services, but chose ktsQuoteTerminal because of its comprehensive real-time news and data, its reliability and security. Other advantages that influenced its purchasing decision included its effortlessness to install and its easy and natural usability as well as the facility to upgrade to the forthcoming international MarketTerminal service.
KTS has signed a number of deals with well-known City names for its ktsQuoteTerminal service since the beginning of 2003. Charles Stanley and Company Limited, Singer & Friedlander Investment Management Ltd. and Royal London Asset Management are just some of the blue-chip City institutions taking ktsQuoteTerminal.
ktsQuoteTerminal is used by finance professionals in the UK and offers premium news, data and analysis sourced from well-known providers such as ComStock, a division of FT Interactive Data, Dow Jones Newswires, RNS News, JCF Group, Hemscott and Exchange Data International.
Dr Marc Pinter-Krainer, Chief Executive of KTS, said:
"It's pleasing to start off 2004 by signing up another City firm for our ktsQuoteTerminal service. ktsQuoteTerminal has a range of advantages which are proving popular such as its user-friendly functionality and comprehensive coverage. What's also proving crucial to clinching sales is that ktsQuoteTerminal is so easy to install. Companies love the fact they don't have to download any software or install any infrastructure to access the service, and all the maintenance and upgrades are taken care of by KTS on our servers."
Trevor Wells, Managing Director of Sky Capital UK, commented:
"ktsQuoteTerminal is what we were looking for in terms of functionality, coverage and reliability. Just as importantly, during trials our users found they could find the news and data they needed with little or no help because of its intuitive design and on-screen help menus."
