Latest new client for ktsQuoteTerminal is City Equities
10/07/2003
City Equities Limited, a leading UK equity dealing company focusing on the smaller companies sector, is the latest firm to sign up for ktsQuoteTerminal, the financial news and data service provided by Knowledge Technology Solutions PLC (KTS).
City Equities selected ktsQuoteTerminal after reviewing several "thin client" live financial data products. Thin client systems do not require dedicated terminals and can be accessed via a standard PC with an internet connection. Moreover, with ktsQuoteTerminal customers do not need to install any IT infrastructure on-site or any software on their PCs, therefore greatly reducing the cost of the system and its on-going maintenance and support.
Since the beginning of the year KTS has signed up a number of City firms to its ktsQuoteTerminal service including Prudential-Bache Limited, Charles Stanley & Company Limited and Singer & Friedlander Investment Management Limited.
Dr Marc Pinter-Krainer, Chief Executive of KTS, said:
"The City Equities order is a further endorsement of our ktsQuoteTerminal system. ktsQuoteTerminal is a cost-effective live financial data and news system that allows City firms to cut their market data costs without having to compromise on the quality of the data or the reliability of the service they receive."
Andy Thacker, Research Manager at City Equities, commented:
"We chose ktsQuoteTerminal because we were impressed by the quality of the data and news provided as well as the functionality. At the same time, by subscribing to ktsQuoteTerminal we reduced our market data costs."
