H.M. Treasury
"When we wanted to set up the real-time gilts reference price page it was natural to look for a way of leveraging our existing investment in the Arcontech product. The CVEC module integrates well and the project has gone smoothly. The product suite also gives us the potential to extend our real-time data publication with features like logical record contribution, and to achieve closer integration with our other applications."
Andrew Wasielewski
Information Systems Manager, Debt Management Office
Arcontech provided H.M. Treasury's Debt Management Office with their Multiple Vendor Contribution System (M.V.C.S.) , which they use to send Treasury data to many data resellers including Bloomberg, Extel, I.C.V., Reuters and Bridge/Telerate, as well as internally round the D.M.O. dealing room.
Arcontech's CityVision infrastructure was selected following a European tender process. The R.T.P. was the only system which could meet the requirements 'off-the-shelf' and in the tight time-scale required for implementation. The system was installed, configured and fully operational in less than 3 weeks from being ordered.
City Index
"The (Arcontech) system allows us to provide continually evolving functionality to our clients while supporting an increasing volume of trades. A major factor in our success is the reliability of the system, which has coped with volatile markets producing significant increases in volume on some days. Clients have recognised this and know that they have a reliable service, which has been a major factor in the growth of the business. The Arcontech software is also used in support of our internal data operations and calculation engines, which are an essential part of the business."
Frances Sharpe
Chief Technology Officer, City Index
Prior to the introduction of the web service - www.cityindex.co.uk- clients could only place bets over the phone. Using the web, they can see the same real-time prices as City Index's trading team. The software also allows them to view their account details, make trades and examine their trading history, and review their open positions using real-time updates.
City Index has deployed the Arcontech CityVision on-line trading system, market data distribution system and contribution engine. This allows it to publish its calculated prices to the web at the same time as to its internal systems. Arcontech's open interfaces eased integration with existing systems and allowed rapid development of efficient value added processing.
Sporting Index
"The StarNet Server is a powerful aid to our business development and customer service activities. It was initially installed at our own offices to provide real-time pricing to our Fantasy Spread Betting Game. Since then we have upgraded the infrastructure with a hub at PSI-NET. This creates a portal for global Internet distribution of real-time prices to our customers and value added service providers, direct from our trading floors."
Steve McVickers - ESport
Sporting Index
London's Sporting Index uses Arcontech's CityVision TraderStation display application and Real Time Publisher Middleware for more than 40 positions, turning the shop into a virtual trading floor. The Sporting Index only needed minor alterations to ensure that the look and feel of the data presentation was its own.
Sporting Index has steadily adopted CityVision StarNet technology to address many publishing needs incupdates.
Finspreads

The company has now installed Arcontech’s Real Time Publisher software and elements of its Multi-Vendor Contribution System (MVCS) to enable it to publish the data it generates to Reuters and Bloomberg.
Arcontech also provided efficient Internet Price Distribution for a Live Prices display and Online Spread-Betting on their website, finspreads.com. In addition, Arcontech was responsible for integrating Financial Spreads' existing trading system with their new online trading system.
Reuters
"Arcontech have been involved with our 3rd-party program from the start. They have shown accuracy and flexibility in their work with Reuters."
Mike King
Marketing Department, Reuters Limited
Reuters plc needed contributions from S.G. Warburgs. The data originated on a Stratus which had no connection to their Triarch backbone system.
Arcontech developed an S.S.L.-based contribution server to interface between the systems. An X.25 gateway receives contributions from the Stratus, converts the data into S.S.L. format and sends data using the Reuter contribution interface. There have been no reported problems with the system since going live.
Thomson Financial Networks
"Arcontech provided the ideal solution - cost-effective and designed to integrate existing equipment now, with no constraints on the future."
John Garidis
Global Operations Manager, Thomson Financial Networks, Commenting on the first ever Multi-Vendor Contribution System.
Thomson Financial is a highly regarded information source for the International Capital Markets. Its innovative "Corporate Eye" arbitrage service needed an advanced and reliable technical platform. It approached Arcontech to provide a system integrating database information from PC LAN workstations with a central data management system. A VAX implementation of our CityVision MVCS provides direct simultaneous real-time links to Reuters and Telerate.
Moneyline Telerate
"We are dependent on fast, reliable systems which keep pace as our business develops. We have always been able to count on Arcontech."
Teddy Boutrup

Arcontech provides the 'Update Monitor' which keeps vigil over important systems.
